The Future is Open: Libraries and Open Education

The BCLA Academic Librarians Section, the BC Open Education Librarians group (BCOEL), BCcampus, and BCIT are very pleased to invite you to our re-scheduled event, “The Future is Open: Libraries and Open Education.”Open Educational resources and educational practices are gaining traction at academic institutions across North America and beyond. What is open education and what roles are librarians playing in promoting and supporting open education at their campuses? These are the questions that we will explore at our morning sessions which will include faculty, BCcampus, and librarians sharing their expertise and thoughts on open education.

Date: Thursday, March 2nd, 2017
Time: 8:30am – 2pm
Location: BCIT Atrium (Room 825 – 555 Seymour St, Vancouver, BC V6B 3H6)

Your registration fees include coffee and lunch. The meeting will adjourn to a nearby pub at approximately 2pm.

Spaces are limited, so please register early. If you must later cancel, please email Ali Moore ([email protected]) so we can offer your space to those on the wait-list. The registration deadline is Friday, February 24th, 2017.

Cancellations must be received by e-mail before the registration deadline. A cancellation fee may apply.
