Youth Services Institute – Full

We look forward to spending the day with you.  YAACS Youth Service Institute is a day of inspiring professional development starting with a close look at the development and implementation of Toronto Public Library’s Middle Childhood framework.

Peggy Thomas, Manager of Children’s Services at TPL, will speak about initiatives for family engagement, and activating self-directed, interest-driven learning in the middle years. Her presentation will dip into using data aggregated at the community level to guide services and programming and she will share TPL’s outreach strategy for the Middle Years which includes their “Operation Blast-Off” package.

The afternoon is a chance to hear from you. Your colleagues will present lightning talks covering a range of topics relevant to children and teens.

One coffee break included. Please bring your own lunch!

The workshop will take place at Richmond Public Library.
