Presenters at the 2019 BC Library Conference have been invited to share their slides and notes on the Library Toolshed, an online content-sharing platform for information professionals. Hosted by the BC Library Cooperative, the Toolshed is a place to share, access, and comment on training, instructional, and programming resources created by library staff.

By uploading session slides and notes to the Toolshed, Conference presenters increase access to the topics discussed at the BC Library Conference and keep the conversation going beyond the confines of the event. Content becomes accessible by colleagues who were unable to attend as well as by those wanting to revisit ideas discussed in sessions.

How to access the Library Toolshed?

  • Visit librarytoolshed.ca. You do not need an account to access Toolshed content.
  • If you would like to set up an account (which enables you to rate and comment on content as well as to upload resources of your own), go to librarytoolshed.ca/user and select ‘create new account.’
  • To access session slides and other materials from the BC Library Conference: From the homepage, click the ‘browse’ tab, followed by ‘All Presentations.’ Here you will be able to search by conference name and year.

Please note: Speakers are not required to upload session content to the Toolshed. As such, some materials may not be made available. Please allow presenters time to upload content following the Conference. BCLA will share links to content as it is added.
