If you like stories that mingle the supernatural with the everyday, then give this a try.<\/p>\n Inner Lives of Markets<\/em><\/strong> by Raymond Fisman<\/strong><\/p>\n A fun, fast-paced read for fans of well-written popular science. Markets have invaded most aspects of modern life (e.g. Uber, Air B&B, Craigslist). To examine the pros and cons, the authors explain the evolution of the mathematical models created to grapple with real-world problems like assigning students to public schools, buying a used car without getting ripped off, and matching organ donors with recipients. Highly recommended.<\/p>\n The Lesser Bohemians<\/em><\/strong> by Eimear McBride<\/strong><\/p>\n An intricately written novel that explores a young Irishwoman\u2019s move to London to study acting, and her passionate affair with an older actor. McBride\u2019s writing has been described as taking after James Joyce, and she shares the same inventiveness and delight in language. This book will appeal to fans of literary fiction and fans of London–the city itself features prominently in the book.
