Young Adult and Children’s Services Section (YAACS)

Welcome to the Young Adult and Children’s Services Section (YAACS)!

YAACS (Young Adults and Children’s Services) is a section of the British Columbia Library Association. Our purpose is to support library staff in the provision of high-quality library services to children, youth, and families in BC.


Our members include librarians, teacher-librarians, and other library workers interested in services to youth in British Columbia.

Attend a Meeting

Meetings are held 4 times per year and are open to everyone. Working groups may meet at other times. Meeting links will be shared on the forum in the weeks leading up to the meeting.

Youth Services Institute

The Youth Services Institute is an annual day of professional development organized by the Young Adult and Children’s Services Section of BCLA. Open to anyone interested in library services for children, teens, and families.
