Candidates:

Ali de Haan

Along with creativity and resourcefulness Ali brings enthusiasm to learn and take on new challenges, and share her 10+ years of experience in academic, public, and special libraries.

Acclaimed position: Education Coordinator

Duties: The Education Coordinators shall review various programs and educational ideas and recommend these to the ALPS Executive for approval. The Education Coordinators may strike and will work with committee(s) to establish workshops and other educational activities and opportunities for members. The Education Coordinators will be ALPS’ Educational Representatives to BCLA and work on corresponding BCLA committees.  One Education Coordinator will be ALPS’ representative to the Continuing Education Committee and the other Educational Coordinator will be ALPS’ representative to the Conference Program Committee. The Education Coordinators will act as the Program Chair(s) for all ALPS workshops, providing program advertising and promotional information to facilitate publicity.

Candidate:

Ali Moore

Ali Moore has worked as a Reference Librarian at SFU since September 2015. A recent grad, Ali worked as a Student Librarian at Concordia University Libraries while she was an MLIS student at McGill. In the past few years, Ali has held the position of Social Affairs Chair for the McGill Information Studies Student Association, and Social Affairs Director for the Astro Football Club. Ali loves planning events and would be delighted to serve as an Education Co-ordinator for BCLA’s ALS.
