BCALS CV Clinic Now Open for Student Registrants

The BC Academic Libraries Section (BCALS) is excited to announce our annual CV/resume clinic for librarian and library tech students and recent graduates (seeking their first positions in academic libraries), and we’d love for you to join us!

Current academic librarians and library technicians have volunteered their time to meet online with students to review job applications (cover letter, resume or CV) and share their expertise. This will be a great opportunity to connect with an academic library worker, reflect on job application materials that you’ll soon be submitting, review job postings, and ask any burning questions you might have about the typical application process.
This event is taking place online during the week of March 27th – April 7th, 2022. Each session is approximately 30 minutes, and specific time slots will be arranged with your assigned volunteer based on your schedules.

You will need to provide in advance to your assigned volunteer ahead of time:

A cover letter
Resume/CV
Job posting corresponding to your cover letter and resume

If you would like to take part in the clinic, please sign up using this link: BCALS CV Student Survey by Friday, March 3rd.

If you have any questions or concerns about this project, please feel free to get in touch with us at [email protected].

Many thanks!
