Our next virtual presentation is “Embracing Disability: Practical Advice for Accessible Library Programming” with Jessica Desormeaux and Denise Scott of CELA (Centre for Equitable Library Access) on Wednesday, July 9th at 10am-11am PDT.
The workshop will cover important topics related to delivering accessible programming, including planning ahead, communication, adapting on the fly, and evaluations after it is done. This presentation will include programming for adults, children and teens, and will consider both online and in-person scenarios. Improving accessibility welcomes more people into the library. Through embracing disability, libraries will create and strengthen connections in their communities.
