On behalf of the BCLA Board, I’m pleased to introduce the newest BCLA interest group: The Public Library Communicators Interest Group!

The Public Library Communicators Interest Group was formed to share knowledge, strategies and connect on industry issues affecting communications and marketing within BC public libraries. No BCLA membership is required to participate, and the group expects to meet virtually once per month.

Find out more about this new group by reading their terms of reference, checking out their BCLA subsite, and subscribe to the Public Library Communicators Interest Group forum to get updates and join the conversation.

Interest groups, sections, and committees are a vital part of BCLA. They provide opportunities to build your professional network, complimenting experiences in the work environment, and add to the diversity and strength of the Association.

Thank you to the Public Library Communicators Interest Group co-chairs for creating this new group, and to everyone who participates in BCLA interest groups, sections, and committees.

For questions about the new group, please contact the co-chairs: Michelle Collyer (Greater Victoria Public Library), Abigail Saxton (North Vancouver City Library), and Samantha Wink (Coquitlam Public Library).

For questions about creating a new interest group, please contact Rina Hadziev, BCLA Executive Director.

With thanks,

Tracey Therrien, BCLA President
