BCLA Mentorship Program: Call for Expressions of Interest

BCLA is proud to have a mentorship program, coordinated by the Mentorship Committee, that connects and empowers library workers by fostering positive relationships in the library community. This year we are pleased to announce that we are enhancing our program by utilizing the Canadian-based platform Pollinate, which will provide a communication hub for our mentors/mentees and offers a dynamic suite of resources, tools, and robust matching support.

We are now accepting Expressions of Interest for mentors and mentees to join the 2025 mentorship session, taking place January 13th to June 30th. If you’re interested, fill out the form before Friday, November 8.

We’ve heard from past participants that both mentors and mentees find the program is positive and impactful, and this new platform will help us to support and enhance that experience. This is a great time to try out the BCLA Mentoring Program!

The program is free, although mentees do need to be a BCLA member to participate (a reminder that BCLA membership is free for students and new grads).

We also anticipate that, by streamlining the pairing of mentors and mentees, the Mentorship Committee members will have more capacity to explore other networking and mentorship ideas. If you’re interested in being part of the big-picture vision of BCLA’s Mentorship Committee, email Alicia & Erin, the Mentorship Committee Co-chairs

With thanks,
